WIOA Orientation
The first step is for each individual to be registered in WorinTexas.com and have an active profile. Any individual may call our main number at 469-229-0099 and ask for an Employment Consultant for assistance if needed.
We are responding to your interest in a program that may be able to help you with funds for training. The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Program is one that may be able to assist if you are eligible. Funds are not guaranteed as there is a process to request these funds. Determination is based on need and availability of funds.
All interested customers must first attend a virtual WIOA orientation to hear the eligibility process and available services. This is by invitation only.
To receive your invitation you will need to have an active profile in Workintexas.com. Update information including employment history. Once you have the profile updated you will need to contact the workforce for assistance with the completion of a Wagner Peyser Application/Participation (WP). This will be your ticket to attend the orientation.
You may contact the Plano office at (469-229-0099) and request assistance to complete or update this. Tell the person helping you that you are interested in a referral for WIOA and they should refer you to WIOA Staff to receive your invitation. You may also contact your local office for this program if that is more convenient. The addresses for offices near you may be found at https://www.twc.state.tx.us/directory-workforce-solutions-offices-services. You are welcome to work with the North Central Texas team if preferred.
