A Word From Our President, Kimia Penton - June 2026

Dear PMI Dallas Chapter Members

As we step into a new month, I want to wish each of you a wonderful season ahead filled with growth, connection, and continued success—both personally and professionally.

One of the things I’m most proud of about our PMI Dallas Chapter is the incredible sense of community we continue to build together. A heartfelt thank you to our Board members, volunteers, and chapter leaders for helping launch new initiatives focused on strengthening connection across our membership. From happy hours and Coffee & Community gatherings to our longstanding monthly dinner meetings and breakfast events, it has been inspiring to see our members come together to learn, network, and support one another.

We also greatly enjoyed joining the recent community event hosted by our friends at the PMI Fort Worth Chapter. Collaboration across our North Texas PMI community continues to strengthen our collective impact, and we’re grateful for these partnerships and opportunities to connect.

A few important announcements for those looking to become even more involved in the PMI Dallas community:

Our PMI Dallas Toastmasters Club will host its next virtual meeting on Saturday, June 20th. This meeting is especially important because annual officer elections for the 2026–2027 program year will take place. A quorum of active members must be present for the election to be valid, so your participation truly matters. This is a wonderful opportunity to help shape the future leadership of the club while continuing to grow your communication and leadership skills.

In addition, early bird registration is still available for our North Texas Project Management Conference taking place on September 26th at UNT Frisco. This event is an incredible opportunity to earn PDUs, hear from industry experts, and connect with professionals from across the region.

And finally, if you are interested in becoming more involved in chapter leadership, please keep an eye out for our upcoming PMI Dallas Board elections launching later this summer for the 2027 and 2028 calendar years.
