Education A significant principle of the PMI Dallas Chapter is the promotion of project management education through the following programs:
PM 101 or Basic Project Management This half-day session is intended for new project managers who have just started in the profession and may have difficulty understanding some of the principals of Project Management. For more information go to our PM101 page.
PM202 Project Scope Management This full-day session presents the PMBOK’s core concepts of Project Scope Management, (Project Charter, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Project Verification and Scope Control) in an interactive format with classroom team exercises. In addition to learning basics participants will be given templates that can aid in real work applications. There will be numerous opportunities to share experiences with your classmates and a book will be provided for further personal study after the course. For more information go to our PM202 page.
PM 203 or Project Risk Management This full-day session presents the PMBOK’s core concepts of Risk Management Planning, Risk Identification, Risk Analysis, Risk Response Planning, and Risk Monitoring & Control in a lecture format balanced with classroom team exercises allowing students to put to practice what was just learned. In addition to learning basics participants will learn how to manage Risk through the PMBOK’s Risk lifecycle from Planning to Monitoring & Control. For more information go to our PM203 page.
PM205 or Project Team Leadership The underlying quality that enables that success is of a leader is the team. Learn how to develop, inspire, support and strengthen a team. This course will provide instruction; discussion and hands-on opportunity to gain this valuable insight. For more information go to our PM205 page.
PMP Exam Reviews Helping potential PMPs identify areas of the PMBOK for additional study in preparation for the exam, this very effective 1-day review session is highly recommended by past attendees. For more information go to our PMP Exam Review page.
Student Outreach Program The goal of this committee is to educate students of all ages about the profession of project management. PMI Dallas Chapter Resource Library The main purpose of the PMI Dallas Chapter Resource Library is to serve the membership of the PMI Dallas Chapter by developing and maintaining collections of professional, educational and reference materials to support the Project Management profession.
